As a member of The Mitchell Hill Clinic Fertility Team, Mandy provides:
Preconception Advice & Full Private Midwifery Support - from starting to try for a baby, through to birth plans, home births water births etc.
Consultation: £58.00
Independent
Independent midwives are fully qualified midwives who have chosen to offer their care privately because they feel that not having the constraints of a big organisation allows them to provide a more individualised and holistic care.
Qualified
Mandy has attained the same midwifery qualifications as her NHS colleagues. She attends regular study days to ensure that she keeps up to date on the latest advances in midwifery care
Supervised
Independent midwifes are subject to the same levels of supervision, with a supervisor of midwives who regularly checks both their equipment and their competency.
Regulated
Like all midwives Mandy is registered with, and regulated by, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) who have the power to remove her registration if her practice is deemed to be unsafe.

YOUR MIDWIFE
Mandy Bellenger RM
Mandy wants to help you and your partner have a birth experience that is unique, positive and even pleasurable.
She has worked in an integrated NHS system where every woman is allocated an “on call” community midwife to offer continuity during the labour/birth experience whether at home or in hospital.
She rapidly became disillusioned because in her experience, a woman was very unlikely to be cared for by her named midwife as she worked in a rotational team of around 14 midwives who cared for hundreds of women between them. She currently cares for a maximum of around 10 women each a year, therefore offering true continuity.
The memories of giving birth stay with you for the rest of your life. As your midwife Mandy will make your birth experience and transition into parenthood a truly fulfilling and unique time for you.
