Acupuncture
There is an increasing amount of research evidence which demonstrates that acupuncture may support Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), Nausea, Back Pain, Pregnancy, IVF, Fertility Management, Endometriosis and pre & post embryo transfer.
Acupuncture may help as a stand-alone
fertility treatment, however, it has also been shown to be very successful when used alongside IVF treatments:
A German study in 2002 showed that of 80 women who underwent IVF treatment and received acupuncture, 34 women got pregnant. Of 80 women who had IVF without acupuncture only 21 fell pregnant.
An American study more recently found that out of 114 women who had IVF and acupuncture 51% got pregnant compared to only 36% without acupuncture.
Acupuncture has also been shown to have high success rates for male fertility:
A 2005 study conducted by Shanghai University in China found that of the men who participated, those who had acupuncture had an increased percentage of sperm in their semen and the sperm structure was healthier than their counterparts who did not receive acupuncture.

An Initial Consultation is very in-depth and utilises a comprehensive pre-appointment questionnaire in order for Paul to work with you to devise the most appropriate treatment plan for your needs. This will give you the opportunity to discuss all aspects of fertility, including patient history, lifestyle, diet and acupuncture treatment required.

Clients must undertake an initial fertility consultation before a course of treatment can be recommended.

“I would like to thank Paul so very much – the acupuncture sessions always made me feel much more positive, at 41 years of age I had been told that my chances of conceiving naturally weren’t great (my AMH b/test was less than 2 and the words ‘donor eggs’ had been suggested).
Paul helped me to feel positive and I just hoped and prayed that the acupuncture, plus all the Zita West supplements, lifestyle/diet changes etc. would help us to conceive.

Bryn was born on 31st May 2009 (2 weeks late!) at a very healthy 9.25 lbs.
